Phylon Media was founded in Manhattan in 1999 during one of the most transformative periods in media history.

Cable television was rapidly expanding, the internet was beginning to reshape communication, and audiences were consuming content in entirely new ways.

Our founders experienced that transformation firsthand while working at NBC, CNBC, and as members of the launch team that helped introduce MSNBC to the world.

Watching television and the internet converge inspired a simple realization:

Platforms will always change.

Storytelling never will.

That realization became Phylon Media.

Why "Phylon?"

A phylon represents different species sharing the same origin.

To us, television, streaming, websites, podcasts, social media, AI, and mobile applications are simply different species of the same idea:

Our latest venture, Keep It 100, extends our storytelling beyond television into technology, combining AI, nutrition, wellness, and longevity education into one consumer platform inspired by Ruth Bell, who lived independently beyond 100 years of age.
